Name tags only written with white chalk now? (self.starbucksbaristas)

Personally have mostly embroidered aprons, but showing a green bean the immense collection of chalk markers and allowing creative freedom for name tag ended up being told were only doing our names in white now. Can’t find it in writing anywhere. Anyone else heard this?
I don’t question things in order to keep peace, but if this is for real I’d like to know. Other shifts had no idea either. Came from the SM, so maybe it came from the DM.

My store is allowed totally creativity with our name tags, and I've actually been making them for my partners when I have time, with colored paper and stickers. My manager loves them and no one has said anything yet.....

It’s one of those rules that may or may not get enforced like piercings and other dress code shenanigans

I think in the Look-Book it says you can be creative and show your style as long as it's legible? Also a lot of our partners have started adding their pronouns in a different color to their nametags and that's so awesome too, since we're right on a college campus and have a lot of queer partners and customers.

This has always been the standard since we brought name tags out a few years back. Sounds like it's just being enforced now by your SM or dm.

Gotcha. Had no idea. Couldn’t find anything in the handbook either. Doesn’t really bother me, just wanted something concrete for the green beans.
