Hey guys! I've worked at Starbucks for about 3 months now, recently certified. The job is definitely stressful for sure and I've wanted to quit a few times, but something about this job really motivates me to stay. I guess the enjoyment out of making drinks, I really do enjoy that.
I'm an introvert and awkward but I would really like to connect with baristas more on this sub Reddit, so if any baristas are looking to find some other fellow baristas to mingle and chat with please talk to me!

I'm awkward but I would like to connect with other baristas and I'll even take any advice you guys are willing to throw at me! Thanks

Hi! I’ve been a barista for 3.5 years! I started at a licensed store, and now I have a second job in a corporate store (with a full time job at a pet hospital on the side) if you EVER need anything, I’m always here to help! I like connecting with other baristas too! Makes me feel good hearing other people’s stories 💕💕

You're so kind! I will definitely come to you and ask you anything I may have a problem with in the future! Thank you!

18, Barista from Georgia here! Been a partner for two years, 240****! If you need any questions answered, at your service. I love my store and love finding new friends! Working at Starbucks pushed my introverted ass to actually be kind to others. ☠️

Hey there!! I’m a Barista in North Central Oklahoma in a college town!! My one year anniversary is next month and I can’t wait for more to come!! I’m totes here for you anytime you need some help with life and the stress you’ll have but also for any jokes or uplifting advice that you need!!!!
diccinabox 2 points 4y ago
Dude yes throw some jokes anytime or send me memes! I have the worst humor ever, gets me in trouble some times lol
Supadupastein 2 points 4y ago
Ill write more to you later ...bout to go to sleep but I am a barrista, I’m a dude, idk if that matters just figured I’d say it for identity sake.

Job is definitely stressful but something has kept me around too. And I am hitting 7 months in a few days.

Also, I have to be the worst 7 month barrista ever. I am literally just recently getting the hang of working on bar. It really was so much to learn in my opinion, and I didn’t get much experience in the way of bar.

Dude it is SO much to learn especially because there are always new drinks coming out and so many customizations! 7 months isn't that long tbh and everyone learns at their own pace! Plus if you don't have a good trainer that can always extend your learning
Supadupastein 2 points 4y ago
Yeah! I did even better today. I ran the whole floor including drive and front register while also making drinks lol
[deleted] [OP] 1 points 4y ago
Thats great! I wish that were possible at my store lol. Theres always someone at drive thru and in the cafe. Even at 6 am we usually have about 3 people. I don't think we ever only have one person on floor so mad respect for you!
oidox 2 points 4y ago
Hey I’m a barista trainer in Florida, I’d love to help you as well. The first 3 months are always the worst and it’s easy to feel comfortable in your routines you already set but don’t be afraid to learn new ways to do things on the floor. Remember that’s its normal to continue learning even when you may be the teacher. Good luck!! Always feel free to message me (:

Hey! I’m 20 and a 257**** partner. I always tell my trainees to get through the first 3 months as they’re the hardest! Message me anytime. Keep your head up!
Edit: typo

It definitely was the hardest for sure. It even broke me emotionally in a way lol. I am a lot more outgoing now and also my skill of multitasking has increased by a ton. This job has made me a better me somehow.
