I had someone come in and order a Grande Strawberry Açaí with 12 pumps of classic. I was about to let her know that I can do that but the refreshers come already sweet, but then she hit me with “Oh and I have partner numbers” :(

Even 1 pump of the SF flavors are sooo sweet because the maltodextrose they’re made with is higher on the glycemic index than sugar is. (Aka it’s sweeter than sugar.) I can barely handle the normal amount of pumps we put in an iced latte, I can’t imagine how sweet this is. Does it take the whole bottle to make this drink?

It was about half the bottle. Then she wanted it all blended 5x with almond milk and the extra poured into a separate trenta cup. She kept talking about how she was allergic to sugar and yet emptied the rest of the cinnamon shaker into her drinks and made a complete mess with some sugar packets.

I’m new, one of the regulars at the store where I’m training gets 12 pumps of vanilla in their grande hot drink if I remember correctly. I can feel my *soul* cringing. Even before joining Starbucks team I would always ask for my drinks unsweetened. 12 pumps of any flavor syrup just seems like it would be nauseating to drink.

I once had a guy who got a venture chai latte with 18 pumps of chai, soy, no water. Literally one inch was left for the soy milk. Every day around 7am. And in average if not decent shape. Incredible.
