Lol i was on a half and one of my baristas comes into the back freaking out because she thought it was going to blow up. And me being me couldn’t find how to turn it off.

do you know how to fix that? Because it's happened twice to me and we just turn the machine off lol and it's magically fixed the next day.

That's happened to me so much. Sometimes it works itself out, but a few times we have had to get guys to come fix it

I say the espresso dragon is angry when this happens. I was told by a tech that it is generally caused something clogging or coming undone and the and so the steam is finding another way out. Also seems like this is always preceded by the machine having a worse problem where you can’t use it at all.

At one of my old stores, we had one machine that would violently spit boiling water everywhere if you DARED to put the grinds bin in before the tray.

Lol it went from water to steam to smoke. Had to call facilities.
