Am I being dramatic for being upset about having been scheduled 5.75 hrs often?(self.starbucksbaristas)

I think if you’d rather work the longer shift to get a break you should bring it up! I personally would rather work the 5.75 hour shift since it’s a little more pay. Granted I’m at a Tarbucks so I’m also working other areas of the store so most of the time my 5.75 hour shifts mean I get off at 11:45, so I’d rather work without having to take a meal at 9am! 😂

Bring it up and if you don’t get what you need then maybe move on. Starbucks is not worth your health. Hopefully everything works out for you xo

Are you at Starbucks in USA ? In Canada you get a 30 minute on shifts over 5 hrs 😬 I would definitely bring it up with your manager though otherwise your frustrations will just fester. I hope they can be supportive ❤️

Different states have diff break laws here. I know where I am, anything less than 6 hours gets a 10. Over 6 hours gets a 10 and a 30 and if you work 8+ we give 2-10s and a 30.
