Depends on what state you live in I think? In Illinois it’s less than 6 hours is 1 ten. 6 hours is 1 ten and a lunch. And 7+ hours is 2 tens and a lunch. But I think the tens should be the same everywhere maybe because it’s starbucks perk to us. But maybe talk to your dm to make sure cause I only know the stores I have worked at :)

So legally your lunch is mandatory, some states your first ten is mandatory...even though it’s Starbucks policy to do a second ten at 6.5 hours (for the most part, if you get split into OPS2 time after lunch, sometimes not, but that’s a different conversation) a lot of SMs and DMs are okay with SSVs not giving them if they chose not to because they are not breaking any labor laws.

10s are not mandatory. If it’s slow and you have your task up to date then don’t be afraid to ask for it.
