I SHOULDN’T HAVE TO PAY FOR NON DAIRY RANT (if you wanna skip to the summary, scroll down.) (self.starbucksbaristas)

So today I worked a short closing shift as usual since this is my second job, and I hate being put on drive thru, but I just deal with it. I only hate it for a specific reason. CUSTOMERS ARE WORSE IN THE DRIVE THRU. FIGHT ME. I had a lady tonight come thru and order a venti mocha cookie crumble Frappuccino made with almond milk. After I said her total of like $7 something she grumbled and drove forward. I finished making her Frappuccino and as I leaned forward she asked to talk to my coworker. He came over and she started asking him why she was being charged for the almond milk. After trying to explain it to her multiple times on how we always charge for non dairy, she continues to argue with us. As she is, I have four cars lining up behind her. She tries arguing that it’s not 4oz like the rules say and that she shouldn’t have to be charged for nondairy when she can’t have dairy. I let her know that this is how we are trained that the best I could do would be to give her my managers card. As she’s trying to win her case she also throws in there that she normally doesn’t get a venti. Like hoe, I don’t care. My ASM finally came over to chat with her, and was even kind enough to offer to let her go without paying, but she REFUSED and just asked us to take of the charge for the almond milk.before driving off told us again for the 80th time to check our rule book. The best part about all of this??? MRS. I can’t have dairy, got whip cream on both the bottom and the top of her stupid Frappuccino. 🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃
Summary: lady in drive through complains about having to pay for non dairy and says she can’t have regular dairy. Says we should check our rules, and continues to get whip cream on her Frappuccino all while holding up a line of 4 cars.
