Reserve Coffee Markouts (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by ErnestoPDX
I like trying new coffees for my markouts and it seems every time I go into a reserve store they have different rules about reserve coffees. Sometimes I can get a coffee, then the next week another barista tells me no. Even when I got the same coffee the day before. Anyone know of a list of coffees we can mark out that are reserve? I would love to have some kind of proof about what coffee I can request as markout.

Thanks for your help!

Coming from a large reserve store, our store managers would not allow us to mark our reserve coffees (because of their rarity). We were only allowed to mark out the core coffees (non-reserve). I remember once though, she let us mark out some reserves because they were on “clearance” we had to make room for the new ones coming in. So check with their store manager to see what her rules are. :)

Oh dang. Two stores in Portland have let me do it. I just usually have to only get the ones that are older. I was just hoping there was an easier way to get them. Thanks anyways.

Very rarely Starbucks has an over stock on some reserve coffees and that's when we are allowed to mark them out. We can mark out the single origin coffees (usually one lb in the quarter). But definitely shouldn't be able to mark out on the pos. I use to work in a reserve store and usually the pos is pretty updated on what we can and can't mark out.
