Fun fact: when roasting coffee, a good sign that the coffee is close to being done is what's called the "first crack" or "first pop" because it's a loud popping sound (like popcorn). So I think you are no longer a green bean when you snap on your coworkers or a customer for the first time

i'm a 263 and still feel very new but ahh it's wild how true that is. I got put on bar in peak (normally stuck at POS) because the other person on was a 265

I’m a 265 as well and have already been offered an opportunity to move up to a shift, just work hard, always ask what more you could be doing and if you see somebody else needs another set of hands help out. Being in the hospitality industry is the same as playing on a team, you’re only as good as your weakest link so just because your new doesn’t mean you can’t be the reason other people enjoy coming to work when they see you on the schedule!
