My store changed our summer hours today. We now open 30 mins later at 6am instead of 5:30 am; and close an hour early at 6:30pm instead of 8:30 pm. My store isn’t a high-traffic area during the summer so we cut hours, makes sense to us.

Well this morning one of our early bird customers drove up to the DT window right at 6am and said “oh, why are you guys opening later? That’s a stupid thing to do.” I kindly said, “well we aren’t as busy during the summer so we shortened hours.”(slightly shrugging it off, no big deal). After I hand her drink out she rudely says, “well, you won’t be seeing me anymore!” My only response was, “well, have a nice day.”

I really wanted to say, “well bye, we honestly won’t miss you.” But I tried to keep it professional 🤣 honestly these customers think I care whether they come back or not?! Girl, BYE.
