The crazy customer of the day! (self.starbucksbaristas)

This younger guy came in and said, “ Wow it smells like coffee in here. What is it?” Me and my partner kinda gave each other a look thinking he was kidding. Then I replied yeah that’s because we have a ton of coffee products and he looked around saw the coffee urns and replied “Oh there’s the coffee right there.” He stepped outside the cafe and saw the sign and said “Oh this is Starbucks! I Had no idea this was Starbucks!” I was honestly a little shocked that he was serious. After that he walked off and me and my partner were just dumbfounded by the entire interaction. How often do these type things happen?

One of our front doors is about 5 feet away from a sub place (SO GOOD) and one time a costumer came in while on the phone thinking they were there and not at Starbucks and when he learned he was in the wrong place he looked in the pastry case and ordered 4 of almost all the pastries... With half of it being warmed. I looked at my shift and go "i might need warming assistance" through the headset right before the sticker machine spewed out countless stickers
