Even if I sincerely thought they made a mistake, I look at the sticker and tell them, “You for sure *paid* for a Grande because that is what printed on the sticker. We’d be happy to change your order but it will cost you a little bit more.” Then point them to the back of the line.

Yep, I do the same thing. I make what the sticker says. If it says grande and they want a venti, they’re going back in line to pay the difference.

We do the same thing but we'll bump them to front of line so their time in the store is shorter and maybe (if they are being rude or causing a scene) get them calmer & quicker

Honestly one night I was so petty I sent a lady back up front to get a refund on the grande and to pay for the venti instead.

Ya know this really bothers me because sometimes my shift will say "make sure you read back their order!!" like it's my fault (which sometimes sure it can be entirely my fault), but there's definitely also times where I KNOW I read it back correctly and they still ask for a larger size. And then I look like the ass. 🙄

Ugh I hate when I read back the whole order and then they get their drink called out and they’re like “oh I wanted a different size” or “I want this iced (or hot)” 🙄 were you not paying attention??

Lol um well you payed for a grande buddy. If it's a regular or an attractive girl or even if the person is nice about it I'd give them the venti tbh.
