Tell them it’s your first day. You should be able to clock in but in the event that you can’t just let your shift know. A lot of new information will be thrown at you. Don’t stress it too hard though, as you are NOT expected to remember everything the first time, second time or even third time. As a barista that has been there for nearly a year [10.5 months :)] I am still learning new things every so often. Not everyone remembers ALL the info even if they are there for 5 years lol. When I started my Store manager (SM) told me that if typically takes 1-4 months to get most of the routine and info down depending on how fast of a learner you are. I went in knowing literally nothing about coffee so keep that in mind! I believe your first day will be a bit stressful and very possibly a tad overwhelming but probably fun if you get to know the people there. All in all, don’t sweat it :). Good luck 💖

- You'll be doing a lot of computer work as part of your training as well, so you won't be on the floor 100% of the time when you first start out
- Don't be afraid to ask for help!! I'm serious!! Everyone is always afraid to ask for help! Just ask!!
- It takes a couple months to figure things out, as everyone will tell you. I've been a partner for 9 months and I still have to ask how to make things sometimes.
--sidenote: I made 2 Carmel Frappuccinos instead of one s'mores and one matcha Frappuccino so like, shit happens. It will always happen. And its okay!!!
- This is a high stress job!! Don't forget to breath, stretch a little when you have a moment, DRINK WATER, and use the bathroom when you need to (if you're not in the middle of a rush).
- Above all else, don't stress, yo! You're going to get a lot thrown at you but don't panic! You'll get the hang of it in no time 🥰
