Is it normal to not know how to make everything on the menu? (self.starbucksbaristas)

I have been here for a couple months now starting from my orientation. I have all of the regular drinks down completely, but every now and then I'll get a customer that orders something out of my scope of knowledge. I work at a very small liscensed store so I'm alone alot of the time and the recipe cards are often lost.

Nah it’s normal. If it ain’t a drink your store gets all the time then you really shouldn’t know how I make it( as long as it isn’t a core beverage)Especially if you are a newer barista.

I have been here for like two years, and I do t know how to make everything. Some of the drinks that I've only made once occasionally get ordered and I forget how to properly make that drink
