So we had this lady come through our drive thru and order 2 venti mango dragonfruits with whip cream shaken in...

Simple enough right? So we put all the ingredients in the shaker, slap the lid on and i shake away.


Butttttttt.... When I try and get the lid to pour the drink, I can't get the stupid shaker lid off... I try everything, drying the lid off, using my apron as leverage, running it under hot water, hell my shift even went in the back and was wacking it off the edge of a sink. NOTHING we would do would make the lid come off. This of course happened with both shakers and we couldn't get this lady's drinks out to her.

My shift ended up laughing at me and told me not to put the lids on so tight and told me I was a fool (we're close so it was in the sarcastic sense) and I was just dumbfounded like wtf is going on. Well through a little experiment (through shaking the whip in the venti cup) the gas from the whip causes some suction after you put the lid on causing it to create a vacuum.

So we kindly explained to the lady that we couldn't do that anymore, and if she wanted something similar, she could add a splash of sweet cream.

TLDR: DONT put whip in your shakers.
