//Thrown in sink-or-swim style//... Overwhelmed green bean looking for advice :v(self.starbucksbaristas)

Hi, y'all! I've been working at the bux for about a month now. My trainer had some unfortunate events happen during my training and called in without having someone else cover the shift all the training and shadowing shifts except one. All I've done is the online modules. No hands on or anything.
For the most part, I've been front register, oven, DTO, or support. However, when thrown in bar I have barely any idea what I'm doing. I've been trying to find an updated beverage manual online but they don't include the hot teas, clouds, doubleshot, and all those that are more specific drinks.
Today I got yelled at by a couple customers for being too slow on drive-thru, and one of my coworkers exploded in front of me. I clocked out, got on my car, and cried all the way home.
I just want to be able to succeed in this job. I love it, and I wish I had gotten the training the people just hired after me are. All I'm asking for is some advice. Anything you share will be welcome.

Do your coworkers not try and help you on bar, like walking you through drinks sometimes..etc? Also, i’m sorry someone got mad at you and ruined your day like that, i think that really happens to everyone when they first start, customers are ASSHOLES and sometimes our coworkers can be too:( but you said you like working there, so I can guarantee it will get better. once you have everything down, and your confidence is higher, you’ll be unstoppable!! fuck your coworkers for being dicks to you, if you aren’t getting help on bar you should really tell your store manager. I was in a similar position and my store manager made sure to tell all the shifts and everything to help me out on bar when given time. You’ll do great and you’ll get better, it was a bad day and now it’s over and you have a fresh start (oops i jus realized you said the coworker exploded in front of you not at you, but i don’t feel like rewriting everything LOL)

Well, there is one person who does help me and break down the drink for me to remember. She's super nice, but summer classes take up her schedule.
You were right, it was at me. :s

Being overwhelmed at this (or any job will do) new store is completely normal. I’m a trainer and for the first three months I thought all venti drinks were three shots- free caffeine for everyone!!!
I also made “bean water” my second shift- felt like a total dumbass. Never did it again-!
You’ll be great. Don’t beat yourself up, ok?

Wow similar things happened to me, my trainer called out my first day of training and they put me on drive through (not order, just taking money/handing out drinks) and for the rest of my training she kept having to run out and take phone calls, leaving me all alone. It was extremely overwhelming and all of my co-workers were waay to busy to stop and help me since it was peak. I left every shift crying on the way home and eventually I realized this store doesn't have their shit together and my trainer ended up quitting anyways. So I quit, but you should really talk to your manager about not feeling comfortable being left alone and that you absolutely need to be paired with someone until you master something (such as POS) & then you can learn bar during any down time.
