Rude Customers (self.starbucksbaristas)

Just a short rant about today. I was up front all morning which honestly I was fine with as I needed a break from bar and drive so front was cup of tea. Or at least it would have been. Today was busier than normal, thus cafe was a bit slower than usual. Had two customers get upset about the wait and started to take it out on me even when I explained to them (for a second time as first was when I warned them about the wait) about how we have higher traffic than usual and I, as the person who is not making the drinks or have control over how fast they could come out, could not do much other than check where in the process their drinks were.

I get the wait was long, but maybe if they looked around they might have noticed the other 10 or so people also waiting for drinks, large orders to add to that.

Omg it’s like this at a store I cover at often. It’s right along the I-5 freeway on the west coast and in the middle of California so people often stop here so they definitely get busy. At one point we have a wait of 20-30 minutes for food and drinks because there are so many people. Some customers just flip and tell of the barista at front bar. I’m just like do you not see the amount of people in here right now? The cafe has a capacity of 33 and there were at least 50 people or more. And there’s another Starbucks across the highway, but some people struggle to understand that we can only do so much
