Anyone else being audited?(self.starbucksbaristas)

Two days ago, we had a surprise visit from a consult from Seattle or that’s what she said it was. She explained that she was going to be observing our store from opening to closing and that our store represented the Los Angeles area. The purpose is supposedly to determine whether we had the appropriate number of staff to ensure a successful opening and enough people for every shift. I found it a bit unusual since our shift starts at 3:30am and she was waiting outside already. Our SSV was surprised and had no idea of the consult. Honestly it seems more of an audit to me since the consult is constantly tracking our every move and documenting it on a phone. It’s very nerve wrecking. Is anyone else going through the same thing?

Sounds like corporate is finally looking into the numerous complaints, news stories, and general frustration of partners of the understaffing issues.

You mean, looking for efficiencies to cut labour since stores are always overstaffed? /s

Did they have identification?

They just had a basic state ID. Nothing too prestigious. We are on constant watch now. They are asking everyone questions including our ASM and SM

Personally I would never let anyone in my store before opening and let them ask the employees questions unless they had corporate Identification or called beforehand. There's no way to verify that they're from corporate.

Yes!!! I’m in San Diego and the exact same thing happened to us?? A couple weeks ago! They said they were monitoring coverage and our store represented all of our city as well. Which is super odd because we’re Avery low volume cafe store. But I was later told that they were interested in observing coverage with only two people plays for a majority of the day. There were two of them and they stayed most of the day if not all of the day, for two or three days I think??
