Lady: I want one iced skim latte,
Me: ok one nonfat iced latte,
Lady: I want two grande lattes with nonfat,
Me: do you want them hot or iced?
Lady:one hot one iced,
Me: alright so that’s one grande hot latte with nonfat milk, one grande iced latte with nonfat milk, anything else I can get for you?
Lady’s husband: can I get a grande latte
Me: any modifications? Is 2% milk ok?(I asked since the wife got nonfat)
Husband: yes just a normal grande latte
Me:hot or iced
Husband: hot
Me to the both of them: so that’s one grande hot nonfat latte, one grande iced nonfat latte and one hot grande latte
Both of them: yes
(Pay,go on lunch)
Come back: ya so we had to remake all those ladies drinks,
Me: I repeated everything 3 times???

This happened today. My shift gave me a disappointed look and I was like??? I repeated it 3 times how did I eat it wrong? And I continued to apologize.

Yeah, I'll always get older people who say they want coffee and I'll describe to them the difference between lattes, americanos, macchiatos, etc., and then they'll pick one, I'll repeat their order, they'll say okay, they'll get it and then end up saying they just wanted drip. I really feel like I'm being tested sometimes.

But they were confident in ordering lattes so that’s why I was so confused?? And then my shift never told me what was wrong with their drinks, so I never found out for the rest of my shift as they sat in the cafe what was actually wrong with their order, so I was really confused?
