Didn’t realize we were phasing the peach, pineapple, and strawberry out for the blueberry, guava, and peach concentrates. I thought we were just adding. RATTLED. Now people can’t have unsweetened infusions if they WANT them. Or CAN’T have sugar. OK. I am taking the peach infusion bags home.

I totally agree that there should be sugar free options for people who can’t have sugar. But honestly I hated the infusions, they were worthless at my store, constantly being wasted and dumped out, and they replaced the delicious peach and mango syrups that were 2 popular items. These new flavors are honestly tastier, and to me the peach tastes the same.
Also I am not surprised that Starbucks keeps taking away the sugar free items as they are kinda a bust. We sell maybe 20 “sugar free” (mocha, CD, vanilla, Unsweetened tea infusions) drinks a day and Starbucks doesn’t want to loose money to keep producing them when they aren’t selling. They don’t actually care about catering to the minority. They want dolla dolla bills yall.

as a type 1 diabetic (and starbucks employee), i’d rather not have to do 20 units of insulin just to try a new drink we’re releasing. insulin’s expensive, guys. maybe they should make sugar free options last longer (eg; sf vanilla and cd lasting a month), so not only do they make money, but they cater to everybody.
(and yes, i can have sugar. it just requires more insulin for my body to properly process it. type 1 and 2 are totally different)

I didn’t disagree that they should keep sugar free options. I even said that they should keep them at high volume locations. They could also do what you suggested and make longer lasting sugar free products so we order and waste less. I could imagine that insulin is expensive. I just said that the infusions flopped at my store (and most stores I’ve ever worked at) along with most of our sugar free options. Like I said, most corporations sadly do not care about taking care of people not in the majority because that is a loss of money for them.

i don’t disagree either, just adding on. the infusions never really did well at my store either. the pineapple was thrown out without use every. single. night. i personally thought it was gross anyway, and i like pineapple.

I was so excited about the pineapple since I love the fruit...sigh.

I don’t know where your store is, but in Boston where the people love trying to be all fit and trim that is sooo not the case. All of our customers love unsweetened teas. The infusions gave them more options. Whether it’s tea or coffee they like it plain plain plain.
sarextrashaken1 points4y ago
We do get people getting teas unsweetened. But when people usually the infusions they get it with lemonade and all that jazz. I sort of wish Starbucks would manage these items to make them exclusive to locations where they sell. Instead of taking away your sugar free options from every store, keep them in cities where they are popular and give the stores that don’t sell that item something new.

LMFAO WHY IS THAT ME I LOVE THE PEACH AND IM SO SAD
TessaFink3 points4y ago
But the new peach is fantastic!
alyssaliterally5 points4y ago
i’m not a fan tbh :/ i liked my peach white teas unsweetened and now i don’t have that option even if i dilute the peach
TessaFink1 points4y ago
I get that. I like the new ones myself
6ngelface4 points4y ago
personally think the new peach tastes kind of like lychee? maybe that’s just me.

We had someone scream at us when we told them that our infusions are going away and are getting replaced with new flavors 🙃
aep15_ [OP]3 points4y ago
We love those people
burberrybradshaw1 points4y ago
I hate the infusions. We maybe got two to three requests for them a week and had to dump them all out every night.
darkwolf5231 points4y ago
No we’re getting rid of them. Some co workers of mine still ring customers up for those teas
