Coming from a barista - I mean we’re open until 8 for a reason and we’re getting paid to serve people until then.. it’s not a big deal if it’s just you. I could understand people getting annoyed if you came in with a huge group with complicated drinks.

I would rather have a nice customer come in five minutes before close than a rude one an hour before if that makes sense!

You can’t mobile order 30 mins before close at my store, it gets paused for the day, same thing with Uber eats.

Honestly I couldn’t give 2 shits even if somebody comes in 5 mins before close (it’s different if it’s a whole fucking family or a whole group or something) but I honestly think it’s a stupid thing for partners to complain about. Do I think the people who come in 2 mins before close are dumb for not looking at our hours? Uh ya a little. But I’m not gonna bitch and moan about it bc it’s part of the job..

Anyway, coming in a whole HALF HOUR before closing is not wrong or annoying in the slightest that’s what we’re here for

I never cared. I'm not a barista anymore, but now I do night shift once a month and my Starbucks closes at 9. I get there at 845 and they always have my order ready and they're friendly.

Closing the store doesn't mean you get to go home; closing takes anywhere from 20 to 45 minutes, sometimes more if you know a DM or someone is going to drop by tomorrow.

One bagel and one drink is nothing, and like others said we're getting paid to be there snd do our job with s smile on our fave... The only thing that is annoying amd sometimes I get a little angry over is when people come through and try to order 5+ drinks like 5 minutes before closing... Especially when our closing mansger usually has us break down our espresso machine 10 minutes before close

I do not mind it as long as it's not like ten complicated drinks ten mins before close.
