Had a complete mental break down today because of my bosses belittling and parading me every single day. They had to call an ambulance because I completely broke down and now I think I’m going to get fired. Thanks Starbucks good to your employees as always (self.starbucksbaristas)

Jesus people, they refused an ambulance ride that would put them in debt and you’re downvoting? Don’t listen to the commenter below they went to the doctor in their own afterwards. God this sub downvotes at every slightest transgression

Depending where you are, it’s unlikely they’d fire you. For one, it’d be a direct violation of the ADA, because termination over any disability, disease, or health issue would get them in hot water.

It’s more likely that they’d sort of force you into taking a leave of absence.

i think the term is “constructive dismissal.” they’ll make working miserable in any way possible until you quit. i’ve seen it at my store

They wouldn't be firing OP because of the disability. They would be firing them because of their conduct. Legally, it's a very murky area and OP has said elsewhere that they never disclosed their disability. An employer is not legally required to accommodate a disability if they were never informed that one exists.
