So I had my first training shift yesterday and I am going in again tomorrow. No one ever showed me how to see my schedule on teamworks or even log in (I figured It out last night though past posts in these subs) and I didn’t know how to take certain days off. My manager had only told me I was working three shifts this week and nothing else from her, that was that. I finally found out that I am working more shifts all day next week during the time I literally can’t (so many other things had to be moved around in my life for these things I literally can’t work then I know I’m being repetitive) but am I justified in not working these shifts? I literally just started yesterday and was only told to work a little this week and didn’t even know what teamwork’s was called. I’m so worried about this and what could happen

Did you tell her your availability?

Yes and I should have told her sooner I wouldn’t have been able to work these two days ago but she made this one week schedule for me weeks ago and never told me any more

Schedules are made three weeks in advanced. I told my boss my availability during the interview. You need to talk to her and you will most likely have to find someone to cover your shift.

Thank you. I had my interview about a month ago and no information is ever clearly reciprocated and I’m finding out these things now. Need to make that a point when I talk to her today
