My store has gotten so toxic. I've been debating about transferring to a different location. I'm a couple months new, Baristas that have been there longer will sarcastically correct you. Also our leads are prone to snapping fingers and doing hand gestures and say thing under there breath. If you do not understand something or do not rush enough to their standards. I do understand that every job has a speed level of things to be accomplished and I do understand customers comes first. but this is happening more to the new Baristas to the point where some are debating about quitting. The store I work at has a hugh turn.

Most of the Baristas or supervisors that treat us this way will later write us a good job card to make things go away.

I love Starbucks I don't want to quit Starbucks. But I personally cannot stand an environment where I feel that I'm being bullied or other coworkers are.

Go to some of the Starbucks in your area, ones that are reasonably close to you (a distance you’d be willing to drive). Go by each of these at around 10 or 11am, that’s usually when the GM is there). Visit them and talk to the baristas (if you can). Ask them every question you can think of. Let them know you’re at another store and are being mistreated and want to transfer if possible and need to find a good store to call home. Talk to the GM (or ASM, or the Shift) and ask them questions.

Do this for however many Starbucks are in your area and that you’d be willing to commute to. Someone at my store was being mistreated at her store, she was being passed up over and over again to move up simply because the manager was cruel and didn’t like her (plot twist, that manager quit after being told she needed to step down to a shift (a full double demotion, was awesome)). Talked to my manager and they are old me to tell them to apply for a transfer. Boom. Transferred. Like, semi-instantly.

Most managers would probably be on the same page and want a transfer if they’re good and not being treated well.
