From what I understand, there used to be a pump for caramel sauce, the same stuff we use for drizzle, many moons ago from what I’ve been told by a 10 year partner. They just haven’t removed the option from MOP.

It’s not the dark caramel sauce because the regular button has existed for quite some time (saw it before dark caramel was a thing). If it was the dark caramel sauce it would specify the dark AFAIK.

I’ve been a partner for over 2 years and no one has been able to explain what “ caramel sauce” is. It’s not dark caramel because that shows up as “dark caramel” and it’s not the drizzle! I would love an answer to this!!

9 year barista.. I just do all regular caramel syrup. Dark caramel is a separate thing and no one seems to adapt their order or mention it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I ask a different shift every time this comes up. most of them say that "sauce" is another way of saying the dark caramel. I personally think there was a fourth caramel, a hidden caramel, whose existance was not properly erased from this Plane of Existance after whatever drink it was part of got axed.

i just squirt the drizzle in the bottom and swirl the shots to incorporate it as much as possible. the dark caramel is runnier and a different texture so im uneasy abouttrying that

There's 3 different types xD there's the drink syrup (the big bottles you'd see by the espresso bars) , dark Carmel sauce - which is thicker more like actual Carmel sauce, and the drizzle that goes ontop of the drink is just straight up Carmel we pack into squeeze bottles . They all taste different and have different consistencies
