You should, its required and in the handbook? I believe. We tried taking them away because they're a pain and smell like shit, but someone our older partners revolted and printed out something that said they're required. Shrug

(I hadn't had a chance to do ours in months, and even though we give them a quick mop daily they were real gross when I scrubbed some last week. Really gross. Plus we have 13 for some reason and I only got to 8.)

What I do is soak it with hot mop water scrub both sides and then throw it in the mop sink for a hot water rinse
