Do Target Starbucks Baristas receive free coffee? (self.starbucksbaristas)

While working a shift, are they eligible for a shift drink? What about drip coffee or espresso?

I am a black coffee drinker myself and can see the value in having a cup at the beginning of a shift. Especially while opening up shop.

I think it depends on your ETL/TL, but at my store specifically we don’t get any free drink or food and we’re not even allowed to take home or eat food that goes bad at the end of the day.

It definitely depends on your leaders though. I wouldn't go into a new store and just make yourself a drink when the official policy is that being a no-no.

Technically we’re not allowed to make ourselves drinks. My old location our supervisor was really cool about it. My new location we have to pay for our drinks.

My store used to do a “free drink per shift” and we could eat the expired pastries or sandwiches.. but apparently a new coworker called corporate on us saying people were stealing and now we have to keep our receipts and if they catch you stealing you’re fired for sure.

My store lets us have one set of "test shots" per shift because we are supposed to make sure they taste right. 95% of the time we add whatever we want to them though
