Cleaning the pour spout (self.starbucksbaristas)

I have found the instruction sheet to pull it off except it wont come off and I dont know what to do. I have tried several times to get it off. I'm the only one who gets under there and cleans it.
Now its sputtering out when I rinse it.
Update: Facility worker got it off for me and I am now soaking it.
Update part two: Everything is very clean but it still seems to sputter still. Should I be concerned?
