Even though I think I'm pretty good at my job, my store manager our me on an action plan, because she believes I'm not performing well enough iirc. She gave me until August 1st to show improvement, but didn't give me what would happen if she didn't believe I had improved. Is this cause to worry? Will I lose my job?

Has she talked to you about how she'd like to see you improve? You can't improve yourself if you don't know what you're doing wrong.

She did, but it was all very very vague stuff, nothing really specific. "Improving connections" and the like, even though I'm relatively quite good at that part of the job.

If its something you want to peruse, you should definitely talk to her again and ask her to be specific. Maybe even let her know that it's stressing you out and that you're trying to do better. We have partners at my store who have been working here for years who can't even connect correctly with customers, so it baffles me that you're being called out like that by her. Hopefully it all works out 🤞🏻
