Y’all I can’t. Today has been literally so bad. Someone quit and just didn’t come to their shift and I’m trying to train someone who should already be trained and try to put my order away. Someone please tell me it gets better 😩😭

It comes like this in waves. My store has been a condition like yours for 2 months now. All you can do is roll with the punches and hope you have a good manager.
Remember it’s just coffee and verbal abuse from customers.

My manager reminds us that it’s just coffee a lot. And I love my job but some days man, it’s the worst 😩

It gets easier yeah. Some days are just insane. But once you get used to the job you can cherish the chill shifts. Just remember that it’s not always crazy all the time. Even if only seems one moment at first, that feeling will expand with time and experience.

How long have you been working at Starbucks?

Thank you, I’ve been here a year, and I just recently promoted to shift supervisor and my store is known to kill SSVs because they expect too much. And the pressure since then has just been a lot

Yeah. I feel you. My store can get crazy busy sometimes. I’ve had so many anxious dreams after leaving for the day. I was really concerned for a while that that anxiety was going to become who I was. I’m but I started to learn the difference between external stress (busy line of customers) and internal stress (me being overwhelmed about tasks and how the day went)

Also, you can transfer. You are not required to stay at a stressful store. There are plenty of locations and one of them will be just your speed. Learn how to be a shift and take that valuable knowledge somewhere you enjoy.

That’s reallyyy good, about internal and external stress. I internalize a lot, so I think that perspective will help me a lot.
Unfortunately it’s the only one in my town but believe me I’m working on that 😅

Yeah. It really helped me process things. How long has the store been open?

Most the people at my old store did it at about the same time. But good luck to you guys.
