so i’ve been reading up on some advice for interviews as i have one coming up in a couple of days for the barista position and i just had a couple extra questions😅
-for the interview, would black pants/jeans be okay or should i try for something more formal? -when asked about my availability, i said i basically have open availability and got asked if coming in at 4am would be fine for me. i mean, i could do it but i’d prefer not to and the question kind of threw me off as i wasnt expecting that tbh is this something that could affect me negatively for the interview?

Coming in at 4AM would require a change of sleeping patterns. While you would be uncomfortable at first, if you were required to do this, then your life would adjust accordingly. I would advise accepting this as part of the role and having no issue with it.
If you dress formal, it would be the safest choice. It requires no guess as to how casual to look or what is and what is not appropriate. Save that mental effort for the interview questions: Most of which will be "Tell us about a time you..." questions.

I wore a pair of black pants that I consider fancy jeans to mine and it was a-okay :) honest;y, just fancy up the dress code a bit (I wore a blue blouse and the black pants) and keep a friendly demeanor, you'll fit right in

If you wanna go casual then try wearing something in line with the company dress code.
As for your availability, just let them know that you're fine to do openings as needed, but would prefer not to be an assigned opener.
