She was way out of line and should not have reacted the way she did.

By the way, I’m not sure if you know, but a latte macchiato uses whole milk and has an extra shot :)

Yes I did know that about the shots but not the milk part! Thank you!

Hopefully this colleague is just trying to be a hardass coach to a newer employee. When it calms down, do they chillax and go back to being friendly? Or are they just overall shitty all the time time? And there's no way you can use that sort of coaching method effectively without any positive reinforcement and pat on the back later.

Explain what happened and why you did what you did. An understanding person will acknowledge you for your efforts and thank you for looking out. I would have been like: "Good catch, dude." but I wouldn't be all pissed off either. It's just coffee.

No she shoved me to the bar once and like there’s this big petition going around to have her fired. She just targets me for some reason. She targets a few other people too. Usually younger people.

Oh fuck that. Report this to all managers and HR. I wouldn't tolerate that shit.

Next time she gets snappy with you, you call out the bad behavior immediately (like with a dog)

No. Stop.

Establish that boundary. "You can be a shitty fucking piece of shit person, but you're not going to be that way with me."

It is important not to tolerate it to any degree. And do not let it escalate. You simply refuse to accept the behavior. She may try to start a fight. Tell her NO when she does.

"I won't tolerate your shitty behavior and I won't fight you either. No." (bad dog)
