hi everyone :) I couldn’t really find an answer for the question(s) I have, so I’m hoping y’all will bear with me for a sec lol
I submitted my background check Monday evening. on our call that afternoon, the SM asked if I could start next week. how long should the background check take? should I call to see if it went through?
ps: on the website we do the background checks, it says Ready to View. but I don’t really know what that means, exactly

The Background check will generally take 2-3 days but can take around a week getting it passed by your DM. You should be able to view the background check you submitted. I was able to view mine after 2 days but didn't hear back from my SM for a 6 days. So don't worry it's pretty typical for this to happen!

also I’m really confused. it says Ready to View, so I don’t know if that means it’s complete or it’s still in processing?

would it be considered pushy/annoying if I called Friday and said I just wanted to see if it’s submitted and everything’s okay? or should I wait until next Monday (a week after I sent it)?

In certain states you actually have the right to view what your Background check says (in California i was able to read mine) so if it says ready to view it's completed. It entirely depends on the way you call. If you are going to feel nervous i would say wait until Monday. But if you call in saying you are super excited about starting work then go for it! I guess it also depends what days your SM is in the store!
