Last week I had a customer on drive that asked for a double shot in her venti iced latte. So I said “sure, just the iced latte with two shots then?” Then she said “NO! Double shot, that’s 4 shots!!” And I was just sorta standing there baffled like....okay, today’s lesson is that 2 and 4 are interchangeable. Good talk!

My favorite is when they continue talking after I ask them to wait and when I come back they facepalm that I didnt get the order. Makes me wanna turn on the camera and wave hello.

Last time I reminded somebody she’s not allowed to screech verbal abuse at the baristas she told me “I’m old enough to be your mother, you can’t ask me to do shit!” Looking like an underage little girl does not serve me well.

Oh my gosh I had that a while back too. Someone asking for a double shot then coming back up and being like I don't think there's 4 shots in this. I was like... no... there's a double shot. So two shots. They were like no, a double shot is meant to be 4 shots

I order a venti iced quad white mocha all the time, and it surprises me when some baristas don't know what I'm talking about. Or, maybe I'm too quiet 🤷

I was coming to say this! It's so hard to hear over those headsets. I personally really don't mind at all if customers are a bit loud at the drive thru. We can always turn down the volume on the headsets, and at least we can hear what's being ordered.

A lot of the time people list off all their modifications and then tell you what kind of drink it is (latte, macchiato, mocha) which our system asks for first before we add modifications so I end up having to ask them again

Actually you can enter modifications first, they’ll be automatically applied to the drink. It’s set up to be easier to use with entering the drink first, but still possible.

Yes!! When I found out it changed my life because as a green bean people would spew 50 modifications before getting to their drink and then get upset when I didn’t remember each one so I would have to mentally repeat each one to myself as they went

Had this same thing! She ordered a grande with an add shot so I said “ok a triple grande..” and she goes “what is this triple, I didn’t order a triple”

I said “you wanted an extra shot, right?” “Oh yeah, sorry”. Like, WE KNOW WHAT WERE DOING

My favorite argument with a customer about their drink was when a lady wanted a caramel macchiato but with vanilla syrup instead of caramel syrup please. Would not believe me when I said that was how it came already. Or the one that wanted a vanilla latte with caramel sauce, but only 3 pumps of syrup please. XD There are some super odd people out there. Then again, on the other side I had a customer that came in yesterday and asked for a sugar free vanilla nonfat milk latte and was astonished when I called it a skinny vanilla latte. She says she can't order a skinny vanilla latte in most stores she goes to because either they give her sugar free syrup but 2% milk, or nonfat milk and regular vanilla.

🤷🏻‍♀️ in my personal opinion, people who are lactose intolerant but still choose to consume lactose is real weird. If someone is allergic to peanuts they wouldn’t still eat peanutbutter in small portions, so why is that the way people consume dairy?

imo our almond milk is gross, our soy is super sweet and delicious if you like a lot of sugar, and the coconut milk is okay.
