today I had a customer who put in her order and literally spoke as fast as the lightning. I asked her to repeat her order one more time because I only caught the blonde shot with white mocha. She looked so frustrated like huhhh???? You decided to talk really fast then look so frustrated lmfao and then her friend looked mad too????? When I repeated her order, she said it was right then when she got the drink she said she “ordered a hot white mocha.” It got me so mad because I got in trouble for charging her less and then she’s the one complaining about me about “an incorrect order.”

I got cussed out today and I was ask to apologize for them having a bad experience. But what about me. What about the barista.

If they go way too fast or start moving on to other drinks I just repeat the first drink, slowly back to them. “Grande... iced chai tea latte.. with two pumps of vanilla and nonfat milk. And what else?” It gives me time to catch up as I enter the drinks and it lets them know I’m not a robot that can fully remember 3 very different drinks.

I swear people speak really fast to show off their entitlement or something. Like they are high & mighty because their drink is super modified, & they can rattle it off like a tongue twister.
