Does it annoy anybody else when a customer who has literally JUST pulled into the line to order decides to yell “Hello!?!?” as if they’ve been in line for more than a second? Or is that just me being petty?

At my store usually another partner (not on dto) will just cut them off and say it again. “We’ll be with you in just a moment.”
I honestly find it insane. People go to McDonalds or any fast food place really and sometimes wait a full minute to order, yet at Starbucks they expect it instantly. I know generally, we try to be as fast as possible, but people can really chill for 20 seconds when I’m the only person on drive through at 5:00 on a Friday night.

when they do that I say “welcome to sbux I’ll be right with you” and wait a couple seconds before taking their order. I can’t believe how petty this job has made me become

This happens to me pretty regularly. Except after I answer its usually followed up with "hold on give me a minute"

I work in a Tarbucks and I’ve had people come to the back when I left the front without a guest in sight like 5 seconds before
