I'll be honest though: My heart sank when I found out a 'Double Espresso" isn't two shots of espresso. WTF, Starbucks. And a Caramel Macchiatto aint even a macchiato. And it's not even caremel. It's a damn Vanilla latte. And one shot lattes? Would you like any more espresso with your cup of steamed milk? These kids aren't even using a frothing knife.

A double espresso is definitely two shots of espresso??? Are you thinking of the “Starbucks doubleshot on ice”? Because that’s an entirely different drink. But you can absolutely just order two shots and get two shots.

Doubleshot on ice. Naturally, my first thoughts are to brew up 2 shots and put them over ice.

The caramel macchiato is still a macchiato - the shots are poured on top of the milk. The confusion does come in with the vanilla syrup though haha.

There are two types of traditional macchiatos: a latte macchiato and a caffè macchiato. A latte macchiato is a larger drink. It is mostly steamed milk and foam, with just about half a shot of espresso. ... Whatever is first in the cup, steamed milk or espresso, directly corresponds to the type.

Macchiato is mostly foam. :|

Americanos are 1/2/3/4 shots. Adding one shot works for most sizes however not for short or venti hot.

Why isn’t this something that’s offered during training?? I watched like 2- 2 minute videos and then my trainer was like how is this made? How many shots go in a tall Americano? What’s a flat white? and I felt like when I was in school and the teacher asked me about something I was supposed to study last night and I didn’t. I’m just not sure how the little bit of computer work that we get is supposed to be enough to answer questions like that lol. I saved the cheat sheet and am gonna print a few and laminate them. THANK YOU!
