**If you’re thinking about quitting..** (self.starbucksbaristas)

Do not, under any circumstances, go to your store’s group chat and tell people you’re looking for shifts and will take anything because you have kids to feed. Then take two of someone’s early morning shifts. Then call the store at 5 am THE DAY OF THAT FIRST MORNING SHIFT and tell the manager over the phone that you QUIT. Put. Your. Two. Weeks. In.

If you do this, you are the WORST person and you should be ashamed of yourself. Especially if you’re a fully grown adult.

End rant. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

They probably did that on purpose. That seems intentional.

Well it’s really fucked up either way.

Oh it is. I’m so sorry this happened to you and your team

I agree, sounds like either they did it on purpose, OR benefit of the doubt they found another job that could promise more stable hours, but still no excuse not to come for shifts you agreed to take from someone else, and especially not morning of the shfit. That’s straight up just inconsiderate.

That's awful. I'm sorry you guys had to deal with that.

This definetly sounds intentional, that was a shitty move.
I bet that manager will remember the quitters name though if they ever get called for a job reference.

But I’m wondering why it would be intentional?? Our manager has done nothing but give this person chance after chance.

Some people just want to watch the world burn. It's also possible the person had something going on in the background that you might not be aware of. But at first glance, this just sounds like a story about a person with mal intent.
