I felt like my interview went great, though was kinda worried cause the hiring manager that interviewed me said they had a lot of people to interview before they made any decisions and got back to me. I emailed her a thank you for the interview letter that night and waited till yesterday(6 days) to call again to find out about the status of my application. when i got a hold of her she said she was busy with a conference call at that moment, but that i was actually on a list to call later and sounded cheerful. I figured later meant like after the conference call or whenever she was free. its been over a day now and im pretty sure its too late for her to call me back today too so kinda writing it off as 2 already.
I know managers have a lot to do and juggle, but just never had a hiring/rejecting process take this long after an interview. wanna know if this is normal and im kinda just over thinking things. im a bit worried maybe when she said i was on a list to call she only meant as in just possible hires she to decide on whether to call back or not, but im pretty sure im mind gaming myself. Im not freaking out or anything like that, but i am a little concerned you know? I actually really want this job and really like this particular store and the manager and people working there atleast so far seem really nice and i like starbucks itself a lot so yeah. just looking to find out if this is normal and any tips and insight would be great. for the record ive had a couple jobs in food service before
