I guess this is how we talk to each other? This partner has been beyond disrespectful to everyone and somehow hasn't been fired yet. Hopefully soon because she's been pissing our hmanager off more and more (i.redd.it)

From this little text I’m sorry I would be pissed too. Never have I ever in 6 years had someone tell me I couldn’t work someone’s shift. Ya shes late but she was coming. I dunno sorry I don’t mean to like be like in the middle or maybe I don’t know enough. I wouldn’t respond that way but I would think it lol. Approval for shift switching is not a big deal. Once someone says they take your shift it’s their responsibility. You shouldn’t have gone in. I mean I have worked 3 stores and helped tons of stores and this has never happened or haven’t seen it. I’m so confused tho. Sorry maybe I’m reading it wrong.your lucky you even found someone. If she said she would take it with approval or not it’s their responsibility to find coverage if they can’t work it. But this person was coming lol. I dunno thats how it’s been for me in 6 years. If I find coverage I ain’t coming in. It’s on them.

Let me add some context, you can only fit so much in a title.

This person is just mean. She argues with us who have been here a lot longer(she's worked at starbucks for 3 months i and other well over a year) about things we all are 100% sure she's wrong about. If you call her out she's pissed the rest of the shift. Full silent treatment, gets aggressive with the tools and machine by slamming shit around. She got mad at me because i told her she had to use a wisk and not hot water to mix frap roast. She came to work with pink short shorts and flip flops the day after a store meeting that discussed dress code. When we told her to go home and change she asked if she could go pay someone first.

In this specific situation, she was asking people for hours. The person who actually worked the shift only traded because it was convenient and not because she wanted to help. Then this chick put all the blame on the person helping even though it was her fault for not communicating with our manager.

The reason getting shift approved is so important is because our store had a problem with people trading shifts and not showing up.

edit: no matter what the scenario, partners do not talk to each other this way

Now do you understand our problem with her?? Lol

It's almost comical how terrible she is but it's horribly impacting our team so also not great

Smh yes I’m so sorry I have newer partners like that, who try and like tell me how to do things and I’m like... I have been doing this for 6 years don’t nit pick me. That just bothers me in general. From the text it just looks like you beat her to the store and she wasn’t on time and blah blah I didn’t see a problem but I’m sorry you have to deal with this, she won’t last long don’t worry. It’s extremely hard to get fired from Starbucks. And your manager doesn’t have the authority unless it’s theft or sexual harassment then they do. Otherwise everything needs to be documented and sent to pcc and they don’t wanna pay unemployment so it’s lengthy. But in all my time I have realized when someone rubs me the wrong way and it’s not just me it’s other people too, they don’t tend to want to stay around so just ignore her until she leaves. That’s what I do lol
