So on training modules I found something interesting and I think Starbucks is onto us(self.starbucksbaristas)

One of my examples was a simulation of serving a lady named “Karin” and I almost spat out my drink and laughed more than I should have. Starbucks HAS to be onto the whole Karen thing.

My first day is on Monday! How has your training been? Anything I should expect?
Thanks in advance :)

It’s been great! I just finished my third day— has been pretty ok. It’s a bit of a mix between computer work and actual hands on training. My trainers been super nice, and this is my first job but everything’s been pretty good! We had a “huge” rush apparently— that’s in quotes bc I couldn’t tell HAHAHA, but my trainer switched me off to help warm some of the pastries and foods. Also it’s ok to make mistakes! My trainer explicitly states to ask a bunch of questions too. Best of luck! Follow the lookbook, be on time, and it’ll all go from there! they’ve been really nice and help me out a ton. and if you don’t know how to do something make sure you tell them and they’ll help; I had no idea how to clock myself in lol and they showed me how to do it the first two days

I noticed a picture of a Karen for unsatisfied customer/ harassing from then (not sure if she was named as such) in my training today!

Expect stress!! Take your time learning things on bar, managers smell fear. They also smell confidence so be careful or you’ll be running bar alone in no time

Don't be afraid to ask questions especially recipes....if it's a drive thru store multi tasking is your best friend. It's going to be stressful but just make sure to breath. There's alot into training and you could have a great trainer or a shitty trainer based on how they train you. We've had to retrain people because they had a bad trainer who didn't show them hot bar and just tasks and cold bar.

Hey, ChimChar002, just a quick heads-up: **alot** is actually spelled **a lot**. You can remember it by **it is one lot, 'a lot'**. Have a nice day!
