So I guess our morning people brought the iced coffee bin and shakers up front in one trip today, but never put the shakers away. We opened the bin to refill and saw this at 4pm which means they were in there all day. Iced coffee being served to customers with a hint of plastic........help (i.redd.it)

HoooOoOooOOow lmao. They probably totally forgot about it, and obviously why would anyone else check in there, even if you were looking for the shakers all day.

As an avid *refresher loving, so-obsessed I can tell when my drink isn’t shaken and no you can’t build it in the cup because that’s what the shaker is for partner*, we’re you guys not shaking any teas or refreshers all day?

They probably have a few more and just thought the HOBART ate them. Happens at my store fairly often, one time we only had one all day and at close i found it at the bottom of the ice bin 🤷‍♂️
sarextrashaken 12 points 4y ago
How do they get in the ice bin without someone knowing/noticing lol I’m not judging but that hasn’t happened to me in all my time with the company
Thatza_Latza_Matza 10 points 4y ago
The way our ice bin and storage is set up, it probably got knocked off a rack and rolled down the “hill” of ice and then promptly covered, since we’re pretty anal about refilling ice

We have SO many shakers. Some morning people are fairly new so they probably just grabbed more off of the shelf instead of wondering why we were missing them 🤦‍♀️
sarextrashaken 7 points 4y ago
I mean I honestly would’ve never looked in there so I probs would’ve grabbed new ones 😂 but we have a shift group chat so I would’ve been blowing them up cause my store only has 2 😩😩😩
mmmkkk2 33 points 4y ago
good thing karen didn’t see this
misfitsem 15 points 4y ago
Somehow this is going to be night shifts fault. Smh
Obazilla 2 points 4y ago
I was thinking about how night shift never gets anything done right and I got so upset I forgot about the shakers. Night shift strikes again
raptoraptorr 14 points 4y ago

OK. BUT. THIS HAPPENED TO ME THE OTHER DAY. THE ONLY REASON I NOTICED WAS BECAUSE I WAS CHECKING IF WE NEEDED MORE ICE COFFEE. I SCREAMED "OMG. ERIKA. WHAT DID YOU DO" AT LIKE 6AM.
kellybeereed 5 points 4y ago
One of our closers put like 6 bags of the iced coffee grounds in the iced coffee bin, and then one of the openers apparently didn’t see the bags and poured the iced coffee in over all the bags
matthew19thetransman 4 points 4y ago
Now that’s a brilliant way to soak the dishes
jakhei 4 points 4y ago

I’m an opening shift and one time my closing shift (who is actually a super good friend of mine) thought it would be funny to hide the timers in the iced coffee thing- set to go off at open.

.. problem is my opener was late- we got in late, scrambled to open, had a super messy and busy peak... night shift comes in for coffee around 10 or so in the morning the next day and jokingly says “did you guys find the timers?” And we were like .. what timers? And he was like .. the ones I set to go off at open in the iced coffee....

.. oh god...

*runs to back and dumps out all iced coffee*

at least we’re not all alone 😂😭

So nobody was shaking refreshers/ iced matcha/teas/doubleshots ALL DAY??? I can tell for one when my iced tea isn’t shaken right (especially when you add stevia or any other sweetener besides liquid cane). I’ve gotten teas at other Starbucks who were too lazy to shake it and I kept getting chunks of stevia. So lazy. They should be talked to about that.
espressnooo [OP] 7 points 4y ago
If you can read at all, I previously stated we have multiple shakers. All drinks were shaken properly. No need to shit yourself bud!
xoxoellie 0 points 4y ago
Calm down😂😂 I also read this at 4 in the morning. I think you’re shitting yourself more than I am sis.
espressnooo [OP] 2 points 4y ago
Sure
laydeelazrus 7 points 4y ago
I'm sure that they had more shakers dude.
xoxoellie 2 points 4y ago
My store only has 3. 🤷🏼‍♀️
laydeelazrus 4 points 4y ago
We have 6. Idk why. Just happens I guess.
xoxoellie 1 points 4y ago
My point being. don’t have to be rude with your response. Every store is different lmao
Vosstonmass1 -11 points 4y ago
That is some real lazy ass shit right there. Really? Whoever closed the night before should have to at least own up to this bullshit. I had a morning where I found a sanitizer towel inside the coffee urn. We brewed coffee into it and lucky I noticed it during the next cycle before any of the coffee was served. This job isn’t that hard and for dumb shit like that to happen is ridiculous. The people that do that should go and work at Taco Bell.

Big ol’ difference between a freshly cleaned shaker and a dirty sani rag. What about the openers that first poured iced coffee in? Who hurt you?
