This is so cool. Literally the most creative use of left over blue powder I’ve seen.
nando409 14 points 4y ago
God we have so much of that damn blue powder left
ENFPGirl1985 18 points 4y ago
Did you make this up?
Ely55aaa [OP] 25 points 4y ago
It was a group effort between my baristas and I!
Mynameis2cool4u 13 points 4y ago
What did you put in it (besides the blue powder)
Ely55aaa [OP] 19 points 4y ago
It’s just a VBF with strawberry puree!
Ahzombiee 11 points 4y ago
This is so amazing and creative!
We still had a bunch left over at my store, but after a couple days my manager was like yah nope we’re done with this 🙅‍♀️😂
serenity_flows13 4 points 4y ago
Our store threw it all away once the yellow base powder was done

Wish we could have used it for something cool like this instead. So dope
Monetgang 3 points 4y ago
We made one as well after seeing this but I don’t know how to add a picture!
Dawizba 2 points 4y ago
I mean, as long as people don't come to my store asking for it, you do you 😅😂

I’m pretty sure shark week is something else...
robotcrackle 3 points 4y ago
It's first a week of shark shows on tv. Then it became a code for something else.

This is so cute!
queenlechat 1 points 4y ago
That’s so cool
LaurdAlmighty 1 points 4y ago

Why downvote me too? Geez.

Damn this is cool af...how do I ask my local barista to make this for me?

Also what is the blue powder from?
ColorfulClouds_ 4 points 4y ago
It’s from the tie dye promotional drink from a few weeks back!
notsogoodatanything_ 0 points 4y ago
The blue powder is left over from the tye dye frappuccino, so youd just have to ask if they have any left. A lot of locations probably dont have any leftover so be warned, but it doesn't hurt to ask!

Stop sensationalizing sharks. They are not mindless killing machines. We kill over 100 million sharks a year for 5% of their body mass (fins). If youre going to exploit them for entertainment and marketing at least educate people on their importance in our oceans.
masterdoormatt 50 points 4y ago
Look i hear you, but this isn't the time or place. It's just a drink. Chewing people out for making a drink isn't going to save the sharks.
Saqeyo -33 points 4y ago
The advertising is an image from Jaws which is single handedly responsible for the demonization and destruction of sharks. People hated sharks after that movie came out. Peter Benchley himself regrets makimg that movie and spent the rest of his life educating people on the true nature of sharks. So when you market something with that "terrifying" image and call it a shark bite drink, yes it is instilling the wrong image, and profiting off an endangered species while perpetuating false stereotypes. Yes, is part of the problem, as is shark week.

Pick your battles.

Instead of being a keyboard warrior, take this time to donate to a shark organization. No one on the internet will listen or care if you chew them out for a silly drawing. Don't waste your time.
Saqeyo -27 points 4y ago
You call it a silly drawing but how many people will that image be exposed to? Starbucks is the largest global coffee chain. It all starts with educating people. Dont be stupid. I'm active enough in shark conservation as I'm a marine biologist and educate people everywhere i go. If i see an ignorant picture online or in person ill talk to them about it. Youre just blindly defending ignorance for no reason.
