Upcoming changes for partners(self.starbucksbaristas)

Have any of you heard about the new changes coming to the Customer Support role? It sounds so stupid when the current system works fine, and not all locations have enough space for what they’re planning to do so it’s so stressful to imagine what it’s gonna be like when it happens. And apparently it’s happening to all locations I think? This is so sick and twisted,,,, thoughts on this for who knows?

It’s just a restock station. It will be useful for large stores that have a stock room that’s a bit far. If you don’t have a customer support and run low on cups you can grab them from the restock station instead of running to the back. Then someone restocks that station later.

My store never had a signals him in place.... where is this supposed to go?

... we AINT got space up front for this and our back room is approx. 2 inches away from bar no thank you

The new lid station we have makes it easier on CS but harder on bar people who will now have to stop mid whatever just to stock lids when needed.

Can you explain the changes? My DM came by and was mentioning it to our shift but I was too busy to pay attention

I don’t know every single detail but basically the signal bins for when you need to restock something (customer support’s job) is being replaced by some large “THING” (idk what it is) that is going to be restocked a few times every day that is supposed to have all the supplies for things you’ll ever need so the people planted on the bars grab things they need themselves from the “THING”. I hope I explained that well.

I’m not kidding. Every shift in my store was brought into a meeting a few days ago with the 2 store managers and they were talking about it and everything. It’s for real.

Oh i know you're for real! That's the scary part. This sounds like a terrible idea.
