Question about Hot Chai Tea Lattes(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Bearded_Operator
Hello everyone,
I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I've checked everywhere on the partner hub and can't seem to find the recipe card for the chai tea latte.
A couple months back one of my shifts told us that the chai tea latte was no longer being made with hot water (half hot water/half steamed milk). She justified this by pointing out on the register that the sidebar didn't say H2O anywhere.
However, today, my manager told me the drink was still being made the former way, and furthermore, said the change was a rumor spread by misinformed partners. Who's right? Does anyone here know the official answer?

It’s definitely still cut with water.

If you look at the chai concentrate box it says to cut it with water. The box is still the same and there’s been no updates that I’m aware of. The POS isn’t an accurate indicator of recipe changes either, so I would assume misinformation. You can always check the hub and BRM if you really need to have proof.

For me I do it either way. Some people hate it with water and some are fine with it. But normally it comes with water unless the change it at one point.

AFAIK with hot water is still the standard. There hasn't been any official statements about it having changed.
POS has never said H2O.

Wow, I guess I just don't know stuff as well as I think I do then.

I was told by my dm that we are no longer supposed to add water. I think it was in a weekly update like idk, 7 months ago? I did notice it still says it on the box and comment on how weird that was but....
