Guess who lost ‘ A valuable customer’ today because it’s ‘shit like this’ that makes him never want to shop here again. (‘This’ being that 5 minutes before close I had thrown out the teas and he wanted one)(self.starbucksbaristas)

Dude.. just pour the teas into trenta cups and wash the pitchers after close toss the tea and cups out

Why waste the plastic when it literally takes 30 seconds to dump them and wash them after the doors have closed. I get being done early but some things are just unnecessary.
benyjair2 points3y ago
Idc. I get paid to serve inconsiderate people.
haconnor2 points3y ago
Actually you get paid to smile and make coffee. You don’t get paid to be lazy. Not sure how wasting the plastic is punishing anyone but literally the world as a whole. Inconsiderate people serving inconsiderate guests. How ironic.
benyjair2 points3y ago
Yeah i’ll start caring about your opinion when it pays me and when it helps my closing shifts be near perfect. Guess you didn’t consider that huh? Ironic

Lilium ain’t wrong though, it’s still policy whether at corporate or a license store. We’re suppose to have all menu offerings while open, it’s fucking annoying but that’s who we work for. If your managers give you any shit about it, you can contact your district manager and they’ll have your back. At this point, I save myself the headache of being yelled at by guests instead of saving myself the 5 minutes it takes to wash the pitchers.

Yeah you shouldn't have done that.

I work at a kiosk and out policy is that 10-15 mins before close we trash them. I threw them out late by our standards

I sensed sarcasm from Lilium, but maybe I’m wrong. Don’t feel bad. I got yelled at by a customer for saying “thank you” instead of “you’re welcome” in response to his “thank you.” Yelled. At.

I got yelled at by a different customer for saying “it’s no problem” after someone said thank you after I remade her drink. He came up to the counter and said I was extremely rude for not saying “thank you” back..

It is a game that we cannot win.

late response but that’s literally our standard. It’s an old one, but like chick-fil-a’s “my pleasure” we’re supposed to say thank you in place of your welcome. 🙃
