Escalate to superiors. Go as high as you need to go in order to bring attention to an insubordinate employee.

Refusing to carryout work as assigned is grounds for termination of employment in any job.

Don’t focus on what your partner is doing.

It’s not your job to make sure your coworkers are doing their job.

Don’t accept help from her.

Let her be bad at her job.

That’s my advice.

Edit: I want to clarify that your objective here is to get the problem partner to realize that you are not the reason for her shortcomings, you just make her more aware of them.

always talk to the shifts about it, and if they dont do anything, go to your manager. she cant talk shit without any repercussions

Have your shift throw her on at the busiest time and watch her drown in it. Like no help, no support, nothing

my store has been having similar green bean problems and only bc ur so new she might bot listen to u — they honestly dont always listen to me either — but the best thing to do would probably just tell the shift if theres a problem and if she bugs u abt not being on bar just tell her u got put there and ur just doing what u were asked ((just from experience green beans who act like tht dont always last bc they realize they dont like the bucks))
