Can you get espresso from a pour over(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by galaxyd1ngo
I recently bought myself a pour over set even though I only drink espresso drinks (don't judge me, it's a novelty design and I needed it 😩 ). Don't judge me x2 because this may be the stupidest question ever.... but if you grind some beans on an espresso grind... could I in theory make my espresso drinks..........

Unfortunately, no. You need pressure in order to make an espresso shot. The closest you would get to an espresso without an espresso machine would be a moka pot or an aeropress, but it still wouldn’t be the same.

Oh worm, thanks though! I'll use some of my mark outs to experiment and maybe I'll find some creation I like

Your best bet for an a cheap manual espresso maker in an AeroPress...it’s the closest thing to espresso without a machine

You can buy a small stovetop Percolator for $10. It only takes a few minutes to make espresso!
