Quit Without Notice (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by bpetersn
You guys I feel awful. I just had to quit without notice due to a health issue that came up that has made me unable to work. I feel like a terrible person. How bad is this?

It happens, don't stress about it. Starbucks is a multibillion dollar company it will be just fine without you whether you gave notice or not. The important thing is taking care of your health.

Dude don’t even trip. I quit over a text last minute like right before my shift and I got hired a shift like 9 months later again lol

It’s not bad. You have a health condition that you can’t work with. It’s not like you no showed-no called and never showed up most likely. Don’t worry.

I mean we once had a barista just never come back from her lunch. So could be worse lol

Depending on if you’re benefits eligible, you could request medical leave instead of quitting.

Don’t feel like a terrible person.
These guys make thousands every day, and it’s not like you’re totally screwing the company because you’ll lose your benefits.

So they have to make more customer connections so what.
