I didn't like the drink I ordered so I'm gonna argue for five minutes (self.starbucksbaristas)

Yesterday a woman ordered a venti iced coffee with extra sfv and hc (another keto lady of course) and when she took a sip, she said that it wasn't right. The barista on bar asked her, "what was it about the drink that you didn't like?" obviously just trying to figure out what to adjust about the drink. She got really defensive and said, "it's just too sweet! I can't taste the coffee AT ALL!" She was really out of line and just making way too big of a mess about it. She then proceeded to argue with my barista that she rang it in wrong at the drive even after I came over and offered to remake it with a free shot to make it more coffee-y. The barista wasn't even arguing, she was just trying to explain the sweetness is from the sheer amount of sfv! I get that it was a hot day but there's just no reason I should have to butt in between a barista and a customer over something so inconsequential.

Some people's children man. I always have issues with the keto people, or rather people who have no hecking clue what keto is and just are along for the trend, you know the same type of person that thinks "a gluten is anything bad for you". Just remember a venti latte made with whole cream has over 2000 calories in it from the heavy cream alone, knowing that makes when they scream at you so much better and easier to just smile.

I don’t mind serving people who do keto cause my mom does it so she always asked if I could come up with new drink creations for her so I also try to do the same with the customers. I understand it can seem annoying or hard, but part of our job is to educate on what drinks we have and how to tweak them to their liking. I’ve even tried “keto” frappuccinos. Sometimes you need a sugar fix on such a strict diet.

The biggest issue I have is when people get unnecessarily rude. Like I'm happy to help them figure out what they want to get, but not when the attitude kicks in like hers did. It just always seems to be the people on keto who do this sort of thing

Yeah it’s just not acceptable for her to get rude because she easily could’ve asked for it to be remade or add another shot. But I definitely am difficult with customers who give me attitude about a drink that was made exactly how the recipe says. If it’s too sweet then order it next time with less pumps
